This confirmation supports accurate planning of material availability and production schedules at the receiving plant. It also enables the supplying plant\u2019s warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate picking, packing, and transportation activities efficiently, ensuring on-time internal delivery and optimized inter-plant material flow.<\/p><p>In earlier SAP S\/4HANA releases, stock transport order scheduling relied on the maintenance and determination of Logistics Execution (LE) Routes. These routes were used to calculate transit times during scheduling. However, transit times were also maintained separately in Transportation Management (TM) master data\u2014such as lanes and default routes\u2014leading to redundant data maintenance and potential inconsistencies between LE and TM transit times, which could impact scheduling accuracy.<\/p><p>With SAP S\/4HANA 2023 FPS1, this challenge is addressed by enabling direct use of TM master data during stock transport order scheduling. The Transportation Requirement Scheduling (TRS) module serves as the foundation for this functionality, supporting route determination, transportation duration calculation, and scheduling of transportation requirements. TRS can be leveraged to calculate delivery dates during stock transport order creation, and its Test Cockpit allows users to simulate and validate scheduling outcomes.<\/p><p>By centralizing master data in TM, the need to maintain legacy LE routes (e.g., LE-TRA) are eliminated, resulting in streamlined data management and seamless integration with Stock Transport Order\u2019s Available-to-Promise (ATP) functionality. Three stock transport orders to different plants were created to illustrate this setup:<\/p><ul><li><strong>STO 1<\/strong> showcases the use of default routes with predefined transit time.<\/li><li><strong>STO 2<\/strong> has no default route, but TM lanes are maintained with transit time.<\/li><li><strong>STO 3<\/strong> lacks both default routes and lane master data for the origin-destination pair.<\/li><\/ul><p>This setup demonstrates how different TM master data sources are utilized in stock transport order scheduling based on the defined sequence. The delivery and loading dates in each stock transport order are updated accordingly, showcasing the flexibility and accuracy of TM-driven scheduling.
